Pattern: The Third Day of December from the book 24 Snowflakes in Tatting by Lene Bjørn.
Thread: Lizbeth size 20, col 613 & col 623 & col 680.
Technique: Shuttle tatted.
I started to do this pattern in a single shade and thought the middle looked like a flower so started it again in these colours to see what would happen.
I took the picture before blocking just in case anything drastic happened to it when trying to pin it out.
I wanted to tackle this snowflake as soon as I got the book but figured it might be too difficult. I'm not sure exactly why I found it so daunting but I'm glad I got over it and gave it a try.

So, SO pretty
Just love the flower in the middle and it is gorgeous!!!!
Very nice flower! I love the center to this flower. I think I might just have to buy this book as well!!
You have so many beautiful motifs on your blog!
Thanks all for the nice comments. I was quite pleased with how this one turned out. It's a small book Arlene but I like it very much.
This is a great pattern and you did a wonderful job.
It looks super with the yellow center, great idea.
How nice to see this pattern done in something other than white!!
Gives it a whole new life. Your tatting is wonderful and I enjoy looking at your blog.
Thanks
Thank you!
I still haven't blocked it in fear of making it look bad. I might just leave this one as it is.
Wow, this is lovely. Very well done and like Patrycja, I love the colors.
Thank you Shay, glad you like it.
