Pattern: Alladin from the book Tatted Snowflakes Collection by Jon Yusoff
Thread: (Lizbeth 20, col 655, wedgewood light) (Lizbeth 20, col 691, mocha brown medium)
Technique: shuttle tatting
A lovely little snowflake pattern which doesn't take that long to complete and doesn't take a lot of thread.
I did a motif for my previous challenge in brown and took a picture on a blue background. Though I'd never think to put those two colours together I think they worked nicely so chose those colours for this pattern.

That's VERY pretty in brown and blue - really highlights the pattern as well!
:) Ann
You are right. The blue and brown match up very well. I certainly would never thought of using the two colours together.
Thank you for mentioning the book.
Thank you both. I think I'll use these colours again in the future.
Jon the book is really good and I like the clear way you diagram your patterns. I'm already working on another of the patterns from it and consider the money well spent.
Beautiful tatting. Your stitches are so consistent.
Yes, the colour combo works, and of course Jon's pattern is wonderful!
